A Groundscraper thrush (Psophocichla litsitsirupa - previously Turdus litsitsirupa) on the ground feeding on insects, attracted to a water-hole. This solitary bird is found in open woodlands and gardens in parts of Africa. It forages on the ground for insects, molluscs and other invertebrates, flying for cover in trees if disturbed. Groundscraper thrushes are rather tame and are often seen in picnic spots in national parks and in gardens. Photographed in Ethiopia
