Wild Royal Bengal Tiger - Stalking
This powerful and majestic predator is symbolic all over the world. The distinctive stripes and penetrating stare make it one of the most striking animals on the planet. Beautiful but ferocious, it is also one of the largest land predators and the largest big cat. It’s considered to be part of the world’s “charismatic megafauna”, eating everything from venomous snakes to adult elephants. Sadly, the Tiger is endangered after a dramatic fall in numbers over the past century, mostly due to humans. But they are on the increase in India thanks to efforts from national reserves; such as Ranthambhore National Park where I snapped this young male. His intense and predatorial stare is terrifying but mesmerising.
