1990: Peter Monteverdi bought the ONYX Grand Prix Formula 1 team together with well known Swiss entrepreneur Karl Foitek in 1990, after which the team was renamed as MONTEVERDI Onyx and participated in the Formula 1 events during the 1990 F1 racing season under Peter Monteverdi's management. 1990: Lehto and Swiss driver Gregor Foitek piloted the MONTEVERDI Onyx F1 cars, the latter attaining the team's best result for the 1990 racing season with his seventh place at the Grand Prix of Monaco.
