Utah, USA - June 2008; Bryce Canyon National Park is located in southwestern Utah in the United States. Its outstanding feature and visual spectacle is Bryce Canyon, shown here viewed from Fairyland Point. The canyon is a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, filled with eerie red or orange natural rock columns called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks.
