Very closely allied to the preceding species, and the differ-ences apparently only a matter of coloration; these differencesconsist of the first, second, and third joints of the antennaebeing black, and the femora (excluding apices) being alsoblack. In the absence of structural differentiation, at least so faras I have observed, I take this form to be simply a strongly 300 APPEX DTX. —:. coloured variety of the previous species described by Poppius asA. annulipes, and include it here as a distinct species with verygreat doubt. I have figured it to prevent future Fig. 167.—Anthocoris indicus. Length 4 millim. Hab. Darjihng (Vienna Mas.). Poppius gives the length as 3-6 millim., but in the type nowbefore me the membrane is curled up at its apex, and this hasevidently misled him. In size it exactly resembles A. anmdijies,Popp. Genus AMPHIAREUS. (Vol. Ill, p. 4.) Amphiaeetts fdlvescens. (Vol. Ill, p. 4.) Cardiastethus fulvescens, Popp. Acta Soc. Sci.
