A naval officer's sabre, special version The blade with fullers and decorative naval etching. Lightly rust stained. Made by Alcoso. The tombac hilt shows a war ship in front of the rising sun next to a of Kaiser Wilhelm II, and his well-known saying, "Unsere Zukunft liegt auf dem Wasser". (Our future lies on the water.) Small folding guard plate on the reverse side. Lion head pommel inset with red and green glass eyes. Leather scabbard with brass mountings, engraved with unusually simple laurel branches.
