A Winchester Model 1895, 30 Krag, no. 22734. Bright bore, length 22". Manufactured in 1899. On the grip frame marked "WINCHESTER MODEL 1895". Standard inscription on left side of action case. On top of barrel calibre "30 ", on the side marked "NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER". Weapon has original, shiny, bluish black finish, faded in places. Trigger with remnants of blue. Colour case-hardened hammer. Beautifully grained walnut stock with fine chequering and only slight wear marks.
