Of the city of Hudson, we may say it is almost allnew and fresh, with lively action, and vigorous push-ing forward of improvements under the city thirty years ago, there were scarcely fiftydwellings on the whole of this now city territory, fourthousand inhabitants occupy their comfortable homes,llie city proper, with the County Court House, Jail,and Work House, a Methodist, a Protestant Episco-pal, a Dutch Reformed, and a Catholic Church, andPublic School Houses, suited to the wants of the com-. ~ •*-!^-^y.
