Nuclear test control room. Control room of the atomic bomb test site in Nevada, USA, with people observing information on wall screens. The Test Advisory Panel sitting at the tables consists of experts in nuclear physics, nuclear medicine, radiation, meteorology and the environment. No test at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) goes ahead if the safety of people on or off the site cannot be guaranteed. The Test Controller has the authority to halt the test at any time up to a few seconds before detonation.
