Cowes SailGP races- Announcement early today to cancel Saturdays races- a shore based spectators event due to storms , only leaving Sunday and one day of racing in the UK Sir Russell Coutts on the stage of Cowes SailGP Adrenaline Stadium giving a upbeat talk yesterday of his SailGP the Formula One of sailing- the all-new, hi-tech sailing series spearheaded by billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison and Sir Russell Coutts, the most successful helmsman in America’s Cup history. Six nations will compete in year one - the USA, Great Britain, France, Australia, China and Japan - with Grand Prix events taking place in four of those markets. Starting in Sydney next February, the series will visit San Francisco, New York and the British maritime hub of Cowes before culminating in Marseille, France from 20th to 22nd September.
