Inan early abortion the extremities of these ducts may be observed by alens, on the external or uterine surface of the decidua, occupying thesummit of minute projections separated from each other by depression-. 102 PREGNANCY. If these projections be bisected they will be found to contain little cavi-ties, filled with lactescent fluid, which were first described by Montgom-ery of Dublin, and are known as Montgomerys cups.
