The combined bicycle and walkway steel bridge, Bryggebroen - over the southern part of the port of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Bryggebroen (The Brygge Bridge) - the combined bicycle and walkway steel bridge over the southern part of the port of Copenhagen connecting Havneholmen and Islands Brygge (to the right) - part of a bicycle superhighway. One of the recent efforts of the city of Copenhagen to encourage more citizens to choose the bicycle as a means of transport. The bridge was officially opened for traffic in September 2005. The big green-bluish building behind the bridge on the left bank is the long side of a triangular building at the waterfront being Aller's new media domicile which will play an important role in the development of the future products of Aller. (Former Aller Press). Islands Brygge is Danish for Iceland Quay - a former neglected industrial and dockland area in the harbour, since 2000 it has undergone massive redevelopment and has become a fashionable and attractive neighbourhood.
