India, Kerala, Agriculture is the main concern of rural people. The Dravidians are a native race of south India seen here transplanting rice. Transplanting rice may keep these bodies supple but it can be back-breaking work. With incredible skill and speed the women transplant the shoots that have grown to a height 1-2 ft tall. To keep the plots under water they have mud walls around them. In recent years with new strains of rice the crop has become faster with some farms able to produce 3 crops a year
