An evening view across the Vltava river of the Charles bridge and Old Town in Prague.
Charles Bridge is a stone Gothic bridge that connects the Old Town and Malá Strana across the Vltava river. Its construction was commissioned by the Czech king Charles IV and work started in 1357. Baroque statues (a total of 30) began to be placed on either side of Charles Bridge in the 17th century but many of them are now copies.
