The irregular supply boat from Suva to the Laus, the Lady Sandy, loading and unloading on the wharf in Matuku. White sacks of flour and green sacks of sugar are being craned out of the hold. Sacks of copra that have already been loaded are on the decks. The villagers expect the boat monthly but know that often the service is less frequent and supplies run out, the Lady Sandy had not come for approx two months. (missing July 13). Matuku, southern Laus, Fiji.
