Dwarf Common Peony, Turkisk Pion (Paeonia peregrina)


A spectacular late-blooming species, with waxy cupped purest red flowers centered by a boss of golden stamens. The foliage is deeply divided and somewhat glossy. Much used historically in peony breeding. A wild collection from Karabuk, Turkey.
