"Nike and Hephaestus" Nike - Greek goddess of Victory Hephaestus - Greek god of Forge, Crafts and Fire Sculpture of a naked lady held up by a naked man against a deep blue sky with the stadium and a stadium floodlight tower in the background at Doncaster Keepmoat Stadium, home of Doncaster Rovers Football Club. The galvanised steel statue is the work of sculptor Andy Scott commissioned by Doncaster Council to celebrate sporting excellence and symbolise regeneration and pride. Unveiled by Mayor Martin Winter in July 2007.
