In 1874 he was appointed Justice of the District Court ofCentral Middlesex, a position which he now occupies with grace,dignity, and ability, at the advanced age of four score years andthree. Charles Kimball, of Lowell, J 859 to J 879 (20 years). O^a/tyC^ ^Ci<h^^c Born in Littleton September 23, 1811. On November 30,1840. he was appointed writing master of the Boylston school onFort Hill. Boston, serving in that capacity until promoted to theposition of head master. He remained with this school nearlynineteen vears, when he resigned to accept the office of Sheriff, towhich he had been elected, serving in said office until the day ofhis death, a period of twenty years.
