A gold-inlaid kulah khud and bazu band (forearm guard), Persian, 19th century. Iron skull forged in one piece with the surface completely covered with etched human figure decoration with remnants of gold inlay. The quadrangular spike may be unscrewed. There is an adjustable nasal and two side-mounted plume sockets. An inscription runs along the rim, and hanging mail curtains of iron rings joined by bending (minimal defects). Height ca. 61 cm. The matching arm guard is etched and gold-inlaid en suite with an attached wrist guard (rings incomplete). Length c,
