He was ordained and from 1748 was curate of Edingale near Lichfield. Artwork from 'Illustrations of the Literary History of the Eighteenth Century', an 8-volume work published between 1817 and 1858 by English printer and antiquarian John Nichols and his son John Bowyer Nichols.
