Datchet, UK. 3rd January, 2024. Following recent heavy rain, a Flood Alert is in place on the River Thames at Datchet in Berkshire. Thames Water have been discharging sewage from their nearby Windsor Sewage Treatment Works into the River Thames again today. Sewage has collected on the River Thames in the village of Datchet in Berkshire. Water companies are legally allowed to discharge storm water including sewage into rivers during times of heavy rain, however, environmentalists are keen for the law.
