061201-N-6423H-006 Atlantic Ocean (Dec. 1, 2006) - The crew of the fishing vessel ÒMiss MelissaÓ await rescue from a boat crew deployed from the NavyÕs amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17) making its way to the distressed vessel in heavy seas and 40 knot winds. The shipÕs Commanding Officer, Cmdr. Brad Lee, answered Miss MelissaÕs distress call immediately deploying a crew of four personnel in a ridged hull inflatable boat (RHIB) to retrieve the crew, later sending a team back to the fishing vessel to assist with dewatering efforts.
