During a snowfall, Alaska National Guardsman SPECIALIST Dustin Hill of the 3rd Batallion, 297th Scouts, Alpha Company, stands guard at the perimeter of the State Trooper's office in Ketchikan, Alaska. Ketchikan is the primary communication for all emergency support units during Exercise NORTHERN EDGE 2001. Northern Edge is Alaska's premier joint training exercise, it encompasses all of the state of Alaska and it lasts for two weeks.
