Smooth and solid,quite thick through and very free from ribs andcracks for an early variety. Flesh deep red withsolid center and small] seed cells; slightly acidflavor. A very shy seeder. Genuine seed of thisvariety is very scarce, but we have succeeded inobtaining a limited amount of seed from South-ern New Jersey where it originated.
