Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead and Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Walter Gaskin, commanding general of II Marine Expeditionary Forces (Forward), meet with the commander of troops of the Azerbaijan army detachment collocated with the Navy detachment at Haditha Dam. The Azerbaijani detachment provides force protection to the Navy's riverine unit on the dam. Roughead expressed his thanks to the Azerbaijan people and their army for their contributions to Iraq's future and their cooperation with forces in support of coalition efforts.
