Hisfavorite form of amusement and recreation is reading and life has been one of constant progress and usefulness to his com-munity. The high moral and spiritual side of it is due to the earlyinfluence of his mother; the influence of his home and of his compan-ions aided in building up his character, but his strongest incentiveto succeed was derived from personal contact with active and pros-perous business men. 266.
