Mr. Hyde has long been a member of the Union League Clubof New York, and in 1897 was on its executive committee. Hehas also been actively identified with the Protestant EpiscopalChurch. He is a member also of the Merchants Club, the Larch-mont Yacht Club, the New York Yacht Club, and the NewEngland Society. He was married, in 1851, to Miss Marie Louise Shaw of NewYork.
