Ins. Rpt.) SOUTHWESTERN CORN BORER (Zeadiatraea grandiosella) - MISSOURI - Fall survey for 1965 completed; 29 counties surveyed. Girdled stalks averaged percent in Southwestern Corn Borer Survey in Missouri - 1965. southwest and percent in southeast districts, compared with 10 percent in southwest and percent in southeast in 1964. No new counties were found infested in 1965. Accompanying map shows percent girdled stalks in counties surveyed. (Houser, Thomas). OKLAHOMA - Averaged 1 live larva per 100 stalks in corn checked in Bryan County. (Okla. Coop. Sur.). ALABAMA - In southern Tuscaloosa County and northern edge of Bibb County, 20 girdled cornstalks con- tained 20 overwintering larvae; survival 100 percent (McQueen). GREENBUG (Schizaphis graminum) - KANSAS - Remains low in most areas. No damage reported. (Simpson). OKLAHOMA - Counts increased to 120 per linear foot in wheat in Perkins area, Payne County.
