The appeal from District AttorneyFredericks to Mr. Gompers to unseal the mouths ofthe McNamaras would of itself imply that he knewof no evidence against Mr. Gompers; otherwise hisrequest would have been stupid. If Mr. Burns hadany evidence it might be presumed that either or Mr. Drew had knowledge of it; andyet, of course, this does not follow.
