This water-color by British artist JMW Turner is titled Arth from Lake Zug in Switzerland.

Joseph Mallord William Turner (1785-1851) was a British Romantic, landscape painter, water colorist, and printmaker. It is said that his style lay the foundation for the movement known as Impressionism. His paintings number in the thousands. Among his best-known works are A Ship Aground, The Fighting Temeraire, and Lausanne. This water-color is titled Arth from Lake Zug. "Elaborate and lovely," wrote Ruskin. "We sleep at Arth [the town Arth-Goldau in Switzerland] and are up, and out on the lake early in the morning; to good purpose. The sun rises behind the Mythens, and we see such an effect of lake and light, as we shall not forget soon."
