Fly killed by a parasitic fungus. There are several fungi that are parasitic on insects in this manner. In many cases, the fungi will alter the behaviour of its prey causing the animal to climb to a high place and affixing its madibles onto a leaf before dying. The fungi then grow tall fruiting bodies which then release spores as far as possible. Photographed in Singapore.
