Athenian gravestone of Plangon ("doll"). See description for more information.

This Attic stele is inscribed with the name Plangon, which means "doll." The girl is holding a doll in her right hand and a small bird in her left hand. A goose stands facing her. The objects hanging on the wall behind her are a bag and two objects which may be krotala (idiophones similar to castanets). The bag would presumably contain some playthings such as astragaloi (knucklebones). The stele is from Athens and dates to ca. 310-325 BC. Munich Glyptothek inv. no. 199.
