Ellie Ogsbury of the 132nd Multirole Bridge Company, 579th Engineer Battalion, 49th Military Police Brigade, California Army National Guard, secures a rope on a floating bridge July 14 at Cache Creek Regional Park, Yolo County, California, where the 132nd constructed the temporary structure to support the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and other emergency agencies’ efforts to battle Northern California wildfires. This is the second time the Cal Guard unit was summoned for a state mission to build the floating bridge.
