He was twiceelected Commissioner of his native county of Chester—adistinction never before conferred upon any of her citizens—and filled the office with acceptability to the several years prior to his death he was engaged in themining and shipping of chrome ore. Passmore, in Philadelphia, Pa., aged 94 years,5 months and21 days. Benjamin Jones, b. 5-27-1807, m. 12-26-1832, toSarah, dau. of Reuben and Mary (Johnson) Haines. Ben-jamin learned tailoring, and commenced business in WestNottingham, Chester Co., Pa., in 1828. In 1831 he waselected Coroner of Chester Co. In 1834 he was electedRepresentative to the State Legislature. In 1838 he pur-chased a farm in East Nottingham, Chester Co., on whichhe resided until 1853, when he was appointed CountyCommiss
