Jet2 has announced today (Fri) it is cancelling more flights to the Spanish islands, criticising the "uncertainty" of the government's blanket ban. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is currently advising against all but essential travel to both the Spanish mainland and the Spanish islands. The airline initially cancelled all holidays to mainland Spain up to and including August 16, but flights to the Balearic and Canary Islands were only cancelled until August 9. In a statement, Jet2 said: "As the government has not changed its advice regarding travel to the Balearic and Canary Islands from the UK, we have taken the decision to suspend flights and holidays to the Balearic and Canary Islands up to and including 15th August."
