Pittencrieff House Museum. Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, Scotland

Pittencrieff House was built in 1610 and extended in 1731. A private residence for many years, it and the surrounding park grounds were finally bought by Andrew Carnegie in 1903. He never lived in the house and gave it as a gift to Dunfermline. The photograph shows the spire of Dunfermline Abbey in the background on the left.
