The deeply parted styles are covered with epider-mal ceUs, for the most part quadrilateral and arrangedend to end in rows, and on the lower half bearnumerous thin-walled hairs i mm. or more in length. DIAGNOSIS. The epidermis, mesocarp, and seed have the samestructure as the corresponding parts of the currant,but the endocarp is not sclerenchymatized and isnot evident in preserves.
