This excellent medium early po- tato originated with Mr. Carman, editor of the Rural New Yorker. For large, uniform size, handsome appear- ance, large yield and excellent "table qualities it is with- I out a rival. Skin I white, finely net- 1 ted, eyes few, near- « ly even with the ' surface. A remark ablysmooth, hand some potato. The vines are stout and vigorous and enor- mously product- ive. An excellent new main crop late potato of the Rose class. A remarkably strong, vigorous grower and very free from disease and blight, in fact, might almost be called blight proof.
