A splendid hunting hanger, Winner's Prize for the Carlshorst Steeplechase Race 1900 Heavy single-edged blade of fine rose Damascus. Richly etched and gilt decoration of hunting scenes on both sides. The gilt ricassos bear the maker's stamp "PDL" (Lüneschloss/Solingen). Richly sculpted gilded brass quillons and guard plate. Silver grip, stamped "800", with wildlife scene in relief.
