James Warham Crooks, Esq., was born in Blandford,Mass., August 23, 1793 ; graduated at Yale College in some years was a teacher in Westfield Academy, alsotaught school in the old academy on Elm street, Spring-field, which was started in 1812. The following notice appears in the local newspaper:— SPRINGFIELD ACADEMY. The first Summer Quarter at this institution will commence onTuesday, the i6th inst. W. CROOKS.
