Despite heavy rain forcing many of todays planned flying display to be cancelled, a large number of visitors attended day one of this annual 4 day airshow at the South Coast town of Eastbourne. Despite the weather the crowds were entertained by the Royal Air Forces Chinook, fittingly opening the flying displays on this 100th Royal Air Force Birthday year, followed by the Belgium Air Components Augusta A109 and concluding with the incredible RAF Typhoon Eurofighter. The final display just as the weather began to clear was from the amazing Royal Air Force Typhoon. Better conditions are forecast for the remainder of the weekend.
