General Wolfe, who was born at Westerham, in Kent, in 1726, was in no way connedledwith the neighbourhood of Nantwich ; and the local tradition has no better foundation than the fadl that a respeiftablefamily of that name has been long resident in the vicinity of the town, and the desire of some to connefl: the brave herowith their own county.
