He then went to Wash-ington for a short time, working in a store, and afterwards he settled in Cincin-nati (in 1899), opening a cloak and suit store, where without any extensivespeculation he became very successful, due to simple and steady work and agradual rise in the scale of life. Mr. Goldberg is the owner of the Main Cloak & Suit Co., 1116 Main street,and of the Princess Cloak #- Suit Company, at 1115 Main street, Cincinnati,Ohio. Mr. Goldberg divides his success with many charitable and philanthropicinstitutions. He belongs to nearly every organization of importance, is a direc- 101. tor of the Orthodox Home for the Aged, Vice-president of the Talmud Torah,and a former treasurer of the Avondale Schul. He is a respected member ofthe Chamber of Commerce, of the Automobile Club and of many other organ-izations. On March 7, 1895, Mr. Goldberg was married to Miss Birdie Scheingold,of Cleveland, and they are the happy parents of an accomplished daughter,Lucille. Mr. Goldberg is a very sympathetic, friendly man, and enjoys a won-derful reputation in Cincinnati.
