CHAPEL IN SPYCERS HALL, WELSH BACK. In an ordinance dated 1467 (entered in the Great Red Bookat the Council House) for the regulation of the merchandise ofmeat, oil, wool, iron and wax, provision is made that the masterand fellowship shall have and occupy at their will the chapeland the draught chamber appertaining thereto in the housecalled Spycers Hall upon the Back of Bristol, paying yearlyfor the said hall twenty shillings. Nothing is said of thededication of this chapel. The late Mr. Bindon1 attributes itto St. John
