A remarkably strong growing variety, of stiff, upright habit; foliage large and somewhat in style of Begonia Rubra, but more than twice as large; upper side deep green, under side purplish-red, flowers beautiful coral-red, in large pendant panicles. A charming variety on the order of Argentea Guttata, the leaf being four times the size seen in that variety, while the silky texture is the sam'e, and it is beautifully spotted with silver.
