Aesop's Sun and North Wind

Aesop was a sixth-century legendary composer of Greek fables whose characters were animals. Each fable had a moral. It was said that Aesop was a slave and had been freed by his master. Milo Winter (died 1956) was an American book illustrator. Among his works are illustrations of Aesop's fables. The one here is The North Wind and the Sun with the moral: Gentleness and kind persuasian win where force and bluster fail.
