Powered paraglider in flight. This consists of a lightweight pilot frame and an engine that powers the propeller (red). The frame is suspended from a parachute-like wing canopy that allows the pilot to glide through the air and obtain uplift from air thermals. The engine controls include steering to left and right, and a throttle to allow ascent and descent. This ultralight aircraft, a Sky-Bike, is manufactured by La Mouette.
