Agrigento, Sicily, Italy - 24 September 2019; no people in shot. The Temple of Olympian Zeus (Olympeion) was the largest Doric temple ever constructed, although it was never completed and now lies in ruins. It ia located in Valley of the Temples, close to the modern city of Agrigento on the south coast of Sicily, Italy. Here we see fallen Atlases which were an integral part of the construction; these are human-shaped statues which serve as architectural columns. In the distance can be seen the city of Afrigento.
