More than 2000 people mostly teenagers, visited South Beach, Troon in response to an open invitation, through Facebook to a beach party and to take advantage of the hot sunny summer temperatures. After a similar Facebook beach party the previous week when there was several arrests for disturbances POLICE SCOTLAND gave extra attention to the area, but this time there were no arrests and the presence of the Police horses proved to be good public relations.
