With the inception of the Walker Manufacturing Com-pany, Mr. Perkins was chosen a director, and in 1S85 waselected president, which important office he has held con- tinu()usl\- to date. His other large business connectionsinclude an interest in two other of Clevelands busi-ness enterprises, the Hill Clutch Works and the Hackney1 lammer Company, being president of the latter namedorganization. Mr. Perkins married Miss ANilshire, of Cincinnati, W. H. BONE. The principal fad of the subject of our sketch is fasthorse-flesh, of which species of enjoyment he is a of the principal steeds owned by Mr. Perkins is thefamous Guy, 2:10)4;. At present, as a recreation, is devoting his attention to breeding Hackneyanimals, and is a director of the American HackneySociety. As a military man Mr. Perkins has earned histitle of captain in command of the First ClevelandCavalry troop, the only horse organization in the stateand one of the finest in the land. \\,I\M H.
